Choir Director, Mitchell Cox Accompanist, Linda Kramer
Mitchell Cox is a professional pianist, music director, teacher and Royal Conservatory of Toronto examiner. Formerly a professor at the University of Herfordshire, England, Mitchell still offers private piano lessons – while also serving as the music director for Belleville’s Bridge Street United Church, and the choral director for the Northumberland Orchestra and Choir. An accomplished accompanist, Mitchell has played alongside dance companies, operatic performances, choirs and bands (even a swing band in Japan) before joining Vocalese as Choir Director in 2011.
Currently, Mitchell is one third of the local jazz trio Take Three, and is involved with Colborne’s Process Theatre as Music Director.
Mitchell’s cheerful and easy-going manner creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for singers and audiences alike.
Linda Kramer holds an Honours Bachelor of Music from Humber College in jazz piano performance and composition, and has received piano and voice training through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Linda has been teaching piano and voice for over 25 years, and has performed in several musical productions at Port Hope’s Capitol theatre.
Currently, Linda serves as both the accompanist and music director at the Rural Faith United Church near Cobourg, and is a solo-singing member the Northumberland Orchestra and Choir.
